An admin creates a read only or read and write key, or the tool signs in with the server URL, and it can then read timesheets, attendance, reports, screenshots and more. It's on every plan, including Free.

MCP server
Staffic data inside the AI tools you already use
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI tools to other apps. Staffic runs its own MCP server, so there's nothing to build or host.
Add the Staffic server URL and a key to your MCP client, then ask things like who logged the most hours last week or which leave requests are waiting. The tool calls Staffic directly, so it reads current data instead of an export you'd have to refresh.

The records you'd open in Staffic: members, timesheets for a day, week or custom range, the Time and Activity and Manual Time reports, clock-ins, apps and URLs, work notes, leave, performance and, on Elite, payroll, clients and invoices. It can also fetch screenshots, kept for 365 days, and on Elite, download links for screen recordings, kept for 7 days.

With a read and write key, the tool can create and update projects, tasks and teams, add manual time and work notes, apply for and approve leave, approve or reject timesheets, invite members and record salary and fixed payments. Over MCP these changes run without an in-app confirmation, so Staffic marks deletes, invitations, payments and client changes for your AI tool to confirm with you.

Only admins create keys, in Settings > AI & MCP keys. Each key is shown once, works in one organization and acts with its creator's access; it stops working when you revoke it or that person leaves the organization. Claude Cloud and Google Antigravity can sign in with the server URL instead, and stay connected until you sign them out or 30 days pass without use.

How to connect an AI tool to Staffic
Five steps in Settings and your AI tool. You need to be an admin of the organization.
Name the key after the tool and computer, pick Read only or Read & write, and copy it. Staffic shows the key only once.

What is the Staffic MCP server?
It's the connection point that lets an MCP client use your Staffic organization as a set of tools. Staffic hosts it at app.staffic.io, so you only add its URL and a key to your AI tool. The tool can then look up hours, attendance and reports, or make changes if the key allows it.
Which plan includes the Staffic MCP server?
Every plan, including Free. Data that belongs to Elite features, such as payroll, clients, invoices and screen recordings, still needs the Elite plan, and the server says so when a tool asks for it. Everything else your plan includes is open to a connected tool.
How do Claude, Cursor and Codex connect to Staffic?
Cursor and OpenAI Codex use the server URL plus a key in their config file, and Settings > AI & MCP keys gives you the exact lines to paste. Claude Cloud and Google Antigravity can sign in with Staffic using the URL alone. Other MCP clients use the URL and key, or mcp-remote if they only run local servers.
What can an AI tool see through the MCP server?
The same records that the key's creator, or the person who signed in, can see in Staffic. That covers timesheets, reports, clock-ins, apps and URLs, work notes, leave, performance and screenshots, plus recording download links, payroll, clients and invoices on Elite. It never sees another organization.
Can I stop an AI tool from changing anything?
Yes, give it a read only key. Read only keys hide every tool that creates, updates or deletes data, and Staffic refuses those calls anyway, so the AI tool can answer questions but can't act. Members who connect by signing in also get read only access.
Do changes made over MCP ask for confirmation?
Not inside Staffic: over MCP, a change runs as soon as the tool calls it. Staffic marks deletes, invitations, payments and client changes as destructive so your AI tool can ask you first. Use a read only key unless you need the tool to act.
What should I do if an MCP key leaks?
Revoke it in Settings > AI & MCP keys, and it stops working on the next call. Staffic keeps only a hash of each key, and a key works in one organization only, so a leaked read only key can read but never change data. Create a new key for the tool afterwards.
Does the MCP server use Staffic AI credits?
No. Your own AI tool does the thinking, so questions over MCP don't touch your organization's Staffic AI credits. Credits are only for Staffic AI, the assistant inside the web app. Standard gets 50 a month and Elite gets 100, and any plan, including Free, can buy more.
How much does it cost to use MCP Server?
Every plan includes MCP Server. Free covers up to 3 members. Standard is $7.50 per user per month billed yearly ($3.80 during the current offer, until October 30, 2026) or $9.50 billed monthly, and Elite is $10.00 per user per month billed yearly ($4.80 during the current offer, until October 30, 2026) or $13.00 billed monthly.
