What is Staffic URLs?
Staffic URLs is website URL tracking built into Staffic's time tracker: it shows which sites a member visited during tracked time and nothing outside it. Each tracked session on Remote Track, URLs lists the web addresses visited, such as github.com or app.staffic.io, beside its project, task and total time. URL tracking is on by default on every plan, and members see only their own sites.

Sites by session
The websites behind each tracked session
Remote Track, URLs lists the sites a member opened in each tracked session, under the project and task the time went to. Local addresses such as localhost:3000 show up too, which helps when developers test their own work.
Pick a member and a date. Each card shows the project, task, Start Time, End Time and Total Time, then one tile per website visited while that session ran.

The Most used card on the dashboard shows the top 4 sites of the running week on its Websites tab, ranked by active time, with how many times each was listed.

Control and privacy
Browsing data with clear limits
URL tracking is set for the whole organization under Settings, Activity & privacy, and can be switched off for one member.
- URL tracking is on in a new organization, and an admin can switch it off
- Websites visited while the timer is stopped aren't logged
- Tracking off for one member stops their URLs, apps, screenshots and activity
- Members see the sites from their own sessions on the URLs page
- Teammates' sites are visible only to admins and roles with Remote Track access

How to set up website tracking in Staffic
URL tracking is already on in a new organization, so most teams only check the setting and install the desktop app.
Sign up and invite your team by email. URL tracking works on every plan, including Free for up to 2 members.

What website data does Staffic track?
Staffic logs the address of each website a member visits while their timer runs, such as github.com or app.staffic.io. The URLs page shows those addresses for each tracked session, with its project, task, start time, end time and total time.
Does Staffic track browsing when the timer is off?
No. Websites are logged only while a member's timer runs in the Staffic desktop app. Once the timer stops, nothing more is logged until the next tracked session starts.
Can employees see their own URL history?
Yes. The URLs page always shows a member their own sessions and the websites in them. Teammates' browsing stays hidden unless the viewer's role has Remote Track access in Access control.
How do I turn URL tracking off in Staffic?
Open Settings, Activity & privacy and switch URL tracking off for the whole organization; it's on by default. You can instead switch Tracking off for one member under Individual members.
Can I see which websites were used for a project?
Yes. Choose the project, and one of its tasks if you like, at the top of the URLs page. Only sessions tracked to that work remain, each with the sites visited while it ran, which helps when a client asks about research time.
Can I check websites against screenshots?
Yes, on every plan. Open Screenshots for the same member and date to see the screens from the sessions whose sites you're checking. Both are filed by project and task, so the two line up.
Are local and internal addresses tracked?
Yes, they appear like any other site. A developer who tracks time against a local build sees addresses such as localhost:3000, and internal tools show up under their own address.
How much does it cost to use URLs?
Every plan includes URLs. Free covers up to 2 members. Standard is $7.50 per user per month billed yearly ($3.80 during the current offer, until October 30, 2026) or $9.50 billed monthly, and Elite is $10.00 per user per month billed yearly ($4.80 during the current offer, until October 30, 2026) or $13.00 billed monthly.
