What is Staffic Performance?

Staffic Performance is employee performance software built on tracked time: one row per member with Total Time worked, Total ETA and Total Credits for the dates you pick. Total ETA adds up the estimates on the member's completed tasks, and the credits show how far time worked landed above or below them. It lists every member, one at a time or several you pick to compare, on every plan.

How it works

From task estimates to performance credits

Credits appear once tasks with an ETA are completed and members have tracked time in the range.

01Estimate the taskAdd ETA hours and minutes when you create a task in Tasks.
02Track the workMembers start the desktop timer on the project and task. Every session counts toward Total Time worked.
03Complete the taskMark it Completed, and its estimate joins the Total ETA of each member assigned to it.
04Read the creditsOpen Reports > Performance, pick members and dates, and compare Total ETA with Total Time worked.

One table for the dates you pick, one row per member, built from tracked sessions and task estimates.

Each row adds up a member's tracked time in your organization's time zone and the ETA on their completed tasks, then works out the difference as credits.

Add ETA hours and minutes when you create or edit a task; the field is optional. Once the task is marked Completed, its estimate counts toward the Total ETA of each member assigned to it.

Performance signals from the rest of Staffic

As employee performance monitoring software, Staffic also shows how active the hours were, how work is spread and who led the week.

The Time & Activity Report breaks each day into time worked, active time and neutral time, with an average activity percentage per member. Open it next to Performance when a member's hours look high or low.

How to set up performance tracking in Staffic

What is employee performance tracking software?

Employee performance tracking software turns work data into numbers you can review: hours, activity and how work compares with plans. Staffic does it from the time members track in its desktop app. The Performance report sets each member's time worked against the estimates on their completed tasks. The Time & Activity Report adds activity levels, so a review starts from records instead of impressions.

Which performance metrics can Staffic track from work activity?

Staffic tracks time worked, activity level, active and neutral time, and time against task estimates. Activity comes from keyboard and mouse input while the timer runs, and neutral time is the idle part. The Performance report adds Total ETA and Total Credits per member, and the Apps and URLs usage report shows which apps and websites the hours went to.

How do I monitor the performance of employees in Staffic?

Open Reports > Performance, choose the members and a date range, and read Total ETA, Total Time worked and Total Credits. For more detail, open the Time & Activity Report for the same dates to see activity per day. Between reviews, the dashboard's top 5 rankings give you a quicker weekly view.

How do I use time and activity data in performance reviews?

Use it as evidence for the conversation, not as the verdict. Pull the review period in the Performance report to see where hours ran over or under the estimates. Then check the Time & Activity Report for days with unusual activity, and ask the member what happened: a blocked task or a vague estimate often explains the gap.

How do I keep performance tracking fair and objective?

Measure everyone the same way and tell the team how the numbers are used. Set estimates before work starts, compare the same date range for each member, and remember that credits measure hours against estimates, not quality. Good employee performance monitoring tools also limit who sees the data: in Staffic, only admins and roles you grant Reports access open the report.

Can I compare performance across teams?

Not as team totals: the Performance report compares members, one row each. Select one team's members and run the report, then do the same for the next team over the same dates.

Does Staffic replace HR performance review software?

No. Staffic gives you the work data behind a review: hours, activity and time against estimates. It doesn't hold review forms, goals or ratings. For review cycles, pair it with employee performance evaluation software or an employee performance management tool, and bring the Performance report to the meeting.

How do I share performance data with employees?

Walk through the Performance report together, or export the Time & Activity Report to PDF or Excel and send it. Members always see their own tracked hours in their timesheets and on the dashboard's Me view. Granting a role Reports access in Access control opens the reports, with every member's rows, to everyone in that role, so keep it to leads.

How much does it cost to use Performance?
