In short

What is the Staffic ClickUp integration?

Staffic ClickUp time tracking is the ClickUp integration in Staffic. It imports the tasks and subtasks of the ClickUp lists you pick as Staffic tasks, so people track time on them with activity levels and optional screenshots, then writes the time back as one ClickUp time entry per person, task and day. It syncs every 15 minutes and is included in every plan.

How it works

How ClickUp time tracking works in Staffic

Plan in ClickUp, track in Staffic, see the hours back in ClickUp.

  1. 01Connect ClickUpAn admin clicks Connect on the ClickUp card in Staffic and picks the ClickUp Workspace.
  2. 02Choose listsSet each list to a new Staffic project, an existing one or Don't sync, then save.
  3. 03Track time on tasksPeople start the timer on an imported task in the Staffic desktop app, like any other task.
  4. 04Time entries appear in ClickUpEvery 15 minutes, or on Sync now, Staffic updates one time entry per person, task and day.

ClickUp time tracking

Connect ClickUp, then pick the lists

Approve Staffic in ClickUp, choose which lists to bring in, and their tasks and subtasks become Staffic tasks your team tracks time on.

Lists show as Workspace / Space / Folder, so you can tell them apart. Each list you choose syncs into a new Staffic project or one you already have; the first sync brings its open tasks and subtasks.

  • Lists from your ClickUp Workspaces
  • Tasks and subtasks
  • A new or existing Staffic project for each list

Each task arrives with its name, description, status, due date and assignee, plus a link back to ClickUp and its custom task ID when it has one. After the first sync, closed tasks come in too, so Done matches ClickUp.

  • Subtasks come in as tasks of the same project
  • Edits you make in Staffic stay in Staffic
  • Assigned people see the task in the desktop app
See Tasks

Staffic keeps one ClickUp time entry per person, task and day, equal to Staffic's total for the last 31 days. It shows in the task's Track time field and in ClickUp's own timesheets, marked as not billable.

  • One entry per person, task and day
  • Whole minutes, at least 1 minute
  • Approved days only, for members who need approval
See Timesheet Approval

When the person who connected ClickUp is a Workspace owner or admin, each entry is filed under the member who did the work, with the note Tracked in Staffic. Otherwise it is filed under the connecting account, with the member's name in the note.

  • People matched by email, or linked by hand
  • Owner or admin connection files entries per person
  • The note always names who tracked the time

Control and privacy

Admins and members stay in control

ClickUp stays where tasks are planned; Staffic only adds time entries.

  • Only admins connect ClickUp, choose lists and disconnect it.
  • Send tracked time back is a switch: turn it off and tasks still import.
  • Set a list to Don't sync to keep it out of Staffic.
  • Members who need timesheet approval send only approved days.
  • Staffic never edits a ClickUp task, only its own time entries.
  • Disconnect stops syncing; imported tasks and written entries stay.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers to common questions about ClickUp integration.

Read the ClickUp integration guide

Does ClickUp have time tracking?

Yes. ClickUp has native time tracking: a timer and a Track Time field in each task, according to ClickUp's help center. Staffic connects to it, so the hours your team tracks in Staffic appear as ClickUp time entries.

Does the ClickUp free plan include time tracking?

Yes, with a limit. ClickUp's help center lists time tracking on Free Forever for 100 uses, and without a use limit on paid plans. The Staffic integration itself is on every Staffic plan, including Free for up to 2 members.

Does ClickUp time tracking take screenshots?

No. ClickUp's help center says its time tracking doesn't take screenshots. Staffic can take screenshots while the timer runs, if your admin turns them on, and the time still goes back to ClickUp as time entries.

How do you track time in ClickUp with Staffic?

Connect ClickUp in Settings > Integrations and pick the lists to sync. Each person starts the timer on their task in the Staffic desktop app, and within 15 minutes the time shows in the task's Track time field.

Where is the time tracker in ClickUp?

In a task, it's the Track Time field near the top, and a running timer also shows in ClickUp's toolbar, according to ClickUp's help center. Time entries from Staffic show in that same field.

How do you review time tracked in ClickUp?

ClickUp's Timesheets hub shows your own and everyone's time entries, according to ClickUp's help center. Staffic adds its timesheets, approval and reports on the same hours, by member, project and task.

What happens if I disconnect ClickUp?

Syncing stops and Staffic no longer reaches your ClickUp Workspace. Imported tasks stay in Staffic and the time entries already written stay in ClickUp.

How much does it cost to use the Staffic ClickUp integration?

Every plan includes the Staffic ClickUp integration. Free covers up to 2 members. Standard is $7.50 per user per month billed yearly ($3.80 during the current offer, until October 30, 2026) or $9.50 billed monthly, and Elite is $10.00 per user per month billed yearly ($4.80 during the current offer, until October 30, 2026) or $13.00 billed monthly.
