How to Use Apps Activity
/user/activity/apps
See which desktop applications each member used while tracking time — grouped by session, project, and task.
Open Apps
Step 1: Open the Apps page
Sign in at app.staffic.io, then go to Remote Track → Apps under Analyze in the left sidebar.
App usage is recorded by the Staffic desktop tracker only while a member is actively tracking time. No data appears until at least one tracked session has synced.
Filter App Activity
Use the top filters
Narrow the activity log before reviewing sessions:
Select Project
Show app usage only for time logged to a specific project.
Select Task
Filter further to one task within the selected project.
Member
Choose whose sessions to review. Admins and managers can view any member; individual members typically see only their own activity.
Date range
Pick start and end dates (for example, 14/05/26 to 20/05/26) to load app data for that period.
Timezone
Start and end times display in the selected timezone (for example, Asia/Dhaka) so sessions align with the member’s local workday.
Review Sessions & Applications
Activity grouped by day and member
The log is organized by calendar day. Under each date, one card appears per tracked session (member + project + task).
Member & context
Member name with profile photo, plus the project and task active during that session (for example, Wodata — Changes or DeveloperLook — discountapp-website).
Start Time / End Time / Total Time
When the session began and ended, and total tracked duration (for example, 1h 51m).
Apps used
Grid of application tiles (Google Chrome, Slack, Staffic, Windows Explorer, etc.) showing every app that ran during that session while tracking was on.

What to use this for
Apps activity helps confirm which tools were used for billable work, spot training or license needs, and support fair reviews — always alongside Timesheets and Reports, not as the only measure of performance.
For aggregated charts and exports, use Dashboard → Most Used Apps or Reports → App Usage and App Analytics.
Tip: Filter by project and task when auditing a single client deliverable. Pair with Remote Track → URLs when you need both application and website context.
Tips
- Apps are logged only during active desktop tracking — stopped timers produce no new app data.
- System apps (for example, Windows Shell Experience Host) may appear during normal desktop use; focus on work-relevant tools for reviews.
- Compare app sessions to Screenshots on the same date when you need visual confirmation of on-screen work.
